Good food, AWESOME customer service! I have a food allergy, and the waitress and kitchen staff went out of their way to make me something I could eat. I had planned to just sit with our party and eat at home, but she asked about possible options and made accommodations. Everyone else at the table said the food was really good, and the kiddos LOVED their Frisbee plates. We'll definitely be back.
We've been coming to Waller's for years and love this place. The atmosphere is just what you want after boating all day on the lake - colorful umbrellas, big ceilings and fans - a very "lake" kind of feel. Indoor and outdoor seating is great. A good selection of musicians plays there throughout the weekend and we always have fun with the bean-bag toss game, Foosball and ring toss while there. The service is always very friendly (in our experience) but on occasion can be slow. This place can get crowded and there's limited space to dock your boat (I've seen people get very creative) but we've usually found something that works out.
I've found the quality of the food and the service to generally be pretty consistently great. There are some places on the lake where you never know what you're going to get but Waller's is always a good time for us. We'll continue to come back.
We had the Thursday special, the $5 Burger. It was a large Black Angus beef burger cooked on the grill. It was delicious! That's what we went down there for and we weren't disappointed. They have music on Sunday afternoons. We are thinking about going back. If you want to experience this place, you need to go quick because they close after Labor Day.
I was super excited to eat here, had no idea about it previously. The place looks so cool and has that lake atmosphere. We got our drinks quick and there weren't many people in there, not crowded at all. This is when things turned south, long story short we waited an hour on our food which we were told would be out in "5 more minutes" several times. We had kids with us who kept complaining about being hungry and their food didn't show up either. So I told our waitress again and they didn't bring the food out so we dropped some cash for the drinks and told the people at the front and we left. They didn't offer to get the food in a to go bag, barely apologized, seemed confused as to where the food we ordered was...it was a sad example of customer service. However, if you want a glass of water and maybe 1 drink...this is the place to go! If you're hungry, the sandwiches on your boat or a bag of chips will be your best bet.
Middle of the road burgers and beer. Great atmosphere and good service.
Anything from the grill is usually quite good. My favorite is the Bedford Landing Burger which has peanut butter and honey and bourbon bacon. I had never had something like that and decided to try it after a couple of margaritas. It was fantastic! The drinks are cold and they are generous with the alcohol unlike some other places that seem to skimp.
