They do beautiful arrangements
I wanted to send some nice potted flowers to my Grandmother, and I'm located in California. Paula helped me over the phone with some excellent suggestions and they were able to deliver them down to my Grandmother's house on the lake on the same day. Paula suggested some orchids and they were beautiful and perfectly presented. It's nice to be able to use a local flower shop over some online method because the personal touch made a big difference.

Paula at Smith Mountain Flowers prepared the bouquet, corsages, and boutonnieres for our wedding on Smith Mountain Lake. She matched our colors perfectly and the bouquet was even more beautiful than I imagined it would be. I got so many compliments. There was even the sweetest note in the box in which everything was included. Would highly recommend!

In an attempt to support local businesses, I placed a $70+ order directly with Smith Mountain Flowers. My experience unfortunately, was a rather disappointing one. I called to check on the status of a flower arrangement that I had ordered when I was interrupted by Paula (the owner) before even having the opportunity to finish my inquiry. I was told that I had impeded their delivery service by not providing an alternate phone number. Instead of addressing my concern regarding the whereabouts of my order, Paula proceeded to reiterate my failure to comply with the company's request for a local phone number. Well, Paula I am sorry to have inconvenienced you; but, don't worry this will be the last time you will ever receive an order from me.
The arrangement almost wasn't completed by the due date. If we hadn't have stopped in, it would have been late (work slip in the wrong pile?). The work is average. We probably won't be back.
BTW, it was a $50 arrangement for a birthday and all of the flowers were in stock.
